Peer-reviewed and published work

The list below covers work published or presented during internal medicine residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, the immunology and rheumatology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and practice at White River Health. Work from the residency years appears under the name Sarah Huse, and work from the fellowship onward appears under Sarah Luebker. Both names refer to one physician, which is worth saying because a citation index will otherwise split the record in two.

Teaching and continuing education

Dr. Luebker runs the annual White River Health rheumatology review series, and she delivered eight rheumatology board review presentations for graduate medical education across 2024 and 2025. She also delivered a three-part metabolic health series at White River Health in 2025, which the speaking pages describe. Board review teaching is a discipline of its own, because the material has to match what the examination tests rather than what a conference audience would enjoy hearing about.

She served as senior author and attending physician for two resident poster presentations at the Arkansas Rheumatology Association in 2024. Supervising residents through research of their own is a different task from doing the research yourself, and it forms part of the associate faculty role at White River Health. Both of those posters were presented by the residents themselves rather than by her.

Committee service

Dr. Luebker sat on the peer review committee at the Medical University of South Carolina from 2020 to 2021. She was a member of the Women Interested in Science Education committee there from 2018 to 2021, and a TeamSTEPPS member across those years as well. All three of those roles ran alongside her residency rather than after it had finished, which is the part worth noticing.
